Internships and apprenticeships
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer apprenticeships at UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Information about internships at UNICEF International, in both Geneva and abroad, can be found here.
Volunteer work
We are delighted that you would like to actively help improve the situation of children.
We do not run any regional groups here at UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein in which volunteer members could become active. Unfortunately the operational costs involved for professional support and coordination work would be too costly and would exceed the human resources of our organization.
However, UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein does occasionally organize events that require volunteers. Should we need event support, you will find further information on our homepage or on our Facebook page.
For qualified candidates, there is the possibility to apply for a placement as a UN Volunteer within the UN framework. These staff members are deployed in development programs run by United Nations Partners. Information about the necessary training can be found at unv.org.
Foreign assignments for UNICEF
UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein’s tasks are focused primarily on fundraising for UNICEF programs and providing information within Switzerland.
The country offices are responsible for the implementation and evaluation of the programs, and where possible, local staff are trained in the respective countries. If necessary, these professionals are supported by international experts recruited by specialized UN agencies such as the UNHCR, WHO or FAO. Jobs at UNICEF International are advertised here.
