Play to help children around the world!

Football brings people together. But many children don’t have space to play and have fun. Take part in our contest and help UNICEF empower children worldwide. Because every child has the right to play.

Switzerland’s on the side of children around the world

Join us by signing up for our newsletter using the form below. Support our work and get regular updates on UNICEF-supported international projects. As a small thanks, we’re offering you the chance to win a football signed exclusively for UNICEF by Swiss professional footballer Alayah Pilgrim.

Football unites people from all over the world, regardless of age, gender or origin. It’s played everywhere – in giant stadiums and small fields. With joy, enthusiasm and dedication. But millions of children in the world don’t have a safe place to play. Countless children are still growing up unprotected and without hope for their future. Hunger, violence and war have left them no room to simply be children.

That’s where UNICEF comes in. For 80 years, the United Nations Children's Fund has been committed to protecting children around the world and to helping them thrive and live in safe environments.

As part of our contest, we’re giving away 10 footballs signed exclusively for UNICEF by Alayah Pilgrim, player for the Switzerland women’s national team and loyal UNICEF supporter.

Your participation will help raise awareness of UNICEF’s work and keep you informed about our projects and activities.

drei Mädchen spielen Fussball
It's about more than just winning. Girls play football at Camp Farchana. This helps them to become more self-confident and develop a team spirit. Farchana/Chad.

If you win, we’ll need your email and a physical address so that we can contact you and send you your football. Please validate your entry by confirming your subscription via the link in the confirmation email. Deadline to enter is July 19, 2026. More information on terms of participation can be found here.

Each registration helps us reach more people and raise awareness about the situation of the world’s children. That helps us keep working to support more children.

Together with UNICEF, we help children worldwide, every day and in over 190 countries:

  • Access to education
We give children the opportunity to attend school, even those living in or fleeing from crisis regions.
  • Assistance in emergencies
In conflicts and disasters, we provide children with safe water, medical care and shelter.
  • Safe spaces for children to play
We help children process their trauma and regain confidence through psychosocial support programs, including sports activities.

Your participation shines light on this work and helps us do more.

I love football because it brings people together, all over the world. It’s about team spirit, enthusiasm and emotion.
