The fifth One Young World Switzerland National Congress took place on May 26 and 27, 2025, in the Festhalle at the BernExpo. Under the motto “Constructive Conversations: Let’s Talk,” the congress offered 150 young leaders from all over Switzerland the opportunity to take part in practical workshops focusing on open dialog, taking on responsibility and sustainable action. The congress connects young leaders and sensitizes them to societal and economic changes.

Several members of the UNICEF Youth Community attended the congress through the support of One Young World. They, too, came away with valuable insights. Maria Andronic of UNICEF Youth:
“Being at the One Young World National Congress was an enriching and inspiring experience. I had the opportunity to meet young leaders from all over Switzerland and reflect on important topics like crisis communication, responsible leadership and handling emotions in the workplace. I came away convinced that we young people have both the power and the responsibility to change the world for the better.”

UNICEF Youth held its own workshop on community building and targeted communication, two key elements of UNICEF Youth’s work. The workshop was met with great interest and generated discussion on the importance of communities and the challenges encountered in building them.
